An arresting sight at the Etz Chaim
Despite the habit of Sabbath-dressing, for once, walking into the foyer of their synagogue, the Etz Chaim congregation could have been forgiven for feeling underdressed.
In the first event of its kind, the shul, together with the LJRC, hosted a West Yorkshire Police Shabbat. The service was attended by a number of senior officers including chief constable, Dee Collins.
The service was organised in acknowledgement of the police force’s efforts, both in protecting communities, and in fostering good relations between different ethnic groups.
In a busy world we’re sure you’ll agree it’s important to take the time to say “thank you”.
