One of the great things about sport is that it brings people together and nowhere is this more evident than in the 2 annual intra-shul sporting events brilliantly organised by Daniel Kaufman and David Bransby.
Each summer the plock of leather against willow can be heard during the annual cricket match. The competition may be hotly contested but that doesn’t stop everyone from having a great day out and enjoying the refreshments. This is equally true of the football event, which takes place in winter and certainly gives the players ample opportunity to warm up.
As well as providing a great day’s entertainment however, these events have helped raise thousands of pounds for a wide variety of different charities, including Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Barnardo’s and BRCA Awareness.
The LJRC was proud to be involved for many years in an administrative supporting role.
