18th June 2017

On 16th June 2016 the world was shocked by the murder of Jo Cox MP.  A year on, her widower, Brendan Cox, initiated The Great Get Together, a series of events across the country to celebrate diversity and unify communities.

Today, Etz Chaim synagogue hosted a fantastic coffee morning as part of this event, bringing together guests from the Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Bahai faiths.  Speakers included EC President, Malcolm Taylor, Rev Sharon Kaye of St John’s church and Leeds North East MP, Fabian Hamilton.  200 guests came together to enjoy, coffee, cake, sunshine and each other.  Congratulations to all who organised it.
